This part of IEC 62282 covers the interchangeability of power and data between micro fuel cell power systems and laptop computers to provide the micro fuel cell power system compatibility for laptop computers while maintaining the performance of the micro fuel cell system without internal battery. For that purpose, this document covers the interchangeable power connector and data communication protocol based on its power management and control methodology. This document also provides the prevention of miss-connection between micro fuel cell power systems and laptop computers as power sources. Performance test methods for verifying the compliance with the interchangeability requirements for micro fuel cell power systems and laptop computer are also provided in this document.
