- About H2Tools
Through support from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). EERE accelerates development and facilitates deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and market-based solutions that strengthen U.S. energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality. The goal of the Portal is to support implementation of the practices and procedures that will ensure safety in the handling and use of hydrogen in a variety of fuel cell applications.
The portal brings together and enhances the utility of a variety of tools and web-based content on the safety aspects of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies to help inform those tasked with designing, approving or using systems and facilities, as well as those responding to incidents.
H2 Tools is intended for public use. It was built, and is maintained, by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory with funding from the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office.
