Future economy based on reduction of hydrocarbon fuels for power generation and transmission may consider hydrogen as possible energy carrier. An extensive and widespread use of hydrogen might require a pipeline network. The alternatives may be the use of the existing network of natural gas or the design of a dedicated network.
