Abstract

This paper outlines the basic features of a numerical explosion model that has been developed for predicting explosion pressures and flame speeds in confined geometries. The results and lessons learnt from the validation of the model against experimental data are presented, together with a discussion of the limitations of the model and areas where further development work is required.
