A workshop on hydrogen safety was held as a part of the Fifth World Hydrogen Energy Conference. It included formal presentations by panel members on materials and containment, process safety, codes/standards/regulations, and new applications. This was followed by a general discussion by both the panel and the audience. The high interest shown by the large turn-out and lively discussion suggests that future hydrogen conferences include safety aspects as part of their program, particularly addressing some of the points raised at this workshop.
