Sulphidized chromium exceeds similar double-amorphous alloys with sulphur content up to 30% and chemical heat coatings by its corrosive, mechanical and antifrictional characteristics. It can be used individually or as a macroisotropic composite chromium sulphide coating, as corrosion-resistant and high-temperature tribotechnical material. The use of sulphidized chromium and composite isotropic chromium sulphide coatings for friction units, end seals and other critical assemblies of equipment used for production, transportation and processing of oil and gas with increased content of aggressive components (such as hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide) can significantly improve technological and ecological safety.
