Livio Gambone is the Principal of Hydrogenium Consulting, LLC which specializes in high pressure hydrogen storage and vehicle fuel system design, testing and homologation. The LLC supports codes and standards development, hydrogen safety initiatives and forensic/failure analysis support. Livio was formerly the head of the hydrogen fuel cell and hydrogen storage teams at Nikola Corporation and contributed to the successful launch of the world’s first production Class 8 fuel cell electric truck. Prior to this experience, he led highly specialized hydrogen system testing teams at CSA Group and Powertech Labs. Livio is an ISO/TC 197 convener of hydrogen fuel system standards for fueling connectors, fuel tanks and PRDs. Livio is also an expert in the failure analysis of composite reinforced pressure vessels and has been involved as an expert witness in numerous failure investigations. Livio is a registered professional engineer in the Province of British Columbia and a Fellow of Engineers Canada.
