Steve Hoffman has over 24 years of experience providing customer focused engineering solutions prioritizing safety. Currently he is an Associate Engineer serving as the Technology and Reliability Manager for Hydrogen for Mobility (H2fM) at Air Products.  In this role he provides technical oversight and operational support for the commercial, engineering, operations, and process safety teams in the areas of hydrogen storage, transportation, fueling, and application development. 

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Steve has worked across CNG/LNG, electronics, and industrial gas applications, with most of the time spent supporting hydrogen fueling infrastructure development in the early years of the industry. Engineering responsibilities for H2 fueling stations included equipment design, permitting, installation, operations, sales support, and internal/external training functions. He has also served as an engineering manager, leading a team who completed hundreds of industrial gas projects in the Western United States.  His active codes and standards involvement includes the Compressed Gas Association Hydrogen Technologies Committee, NFPA 2 Task Groups, and internal safety committees where he continues to contribute his expertise to the evolving field of H2 technology.
